MGC can also be used to safely transport all species of marsh and aquatic plants. Aquarium plants can be transported submerged in water or simply wet, as needed. Because of the climatic insulation of the MGContainer the plants arrive at their new aquarium in the same condition in which they left the tank of origin. MGC also lend themselves to the easy placement of plants in their new tank, preventing the loss of delicate leaves, stems, and flowers, and offering easy visibility of the plants for their correct aesthetic and environmental positioning in the aquarium at home.

The reef corals can be placed inside the MGContainer either wet or totally submerged in water, according to individual needs. The MGContainer comes in a set of four different measurements which allow the aquariophilie to have at disposition the most suitable size of container to transport their ‘guests’ to their aquarium. When in doubt about which size container to use it is always advisable to use a size larger than strictly necessary. You can never go wrong by giving more water and more space to the fish during transport.  When transporting more than one fish, even if they are small ones, the best sizes to use would be the MGC170 and the MGC204. If the journey calls for more delicate treatment it is possible to fasten two MGC together, one inside the other (refer to the video for details).

Placing the fish inside the MGContainer is fast and easy: anyone can do it without damaging the fish. Unlike plastic bags, the MGContainer remains stable in its position and closes easily. The speed of preparation of the MGContainer is an advantage for all of those shops whose fish sales are slowed on busy days due to the time-consuming process of bagging the fish, damaging the business activity as a whole.  With the MGContainer the fish are placed inside quickly and securely, and they can remain there for hours.  Inside an aquarium shop, where the temperature is approximately that of the water in the MGContainer, fish can remain healthy for many hours*.  This means that the aquariophile has the possibility to continue shopping without any hurry or pressure.

* In water that does not contain high concentrations of nitrogen compounds.

Posizionare i pesci all’interno degli MGContainer è immediato, chiunque può farlo senza recare danno ai pesci, al contrario della bustina gli MGContainer stanno stabili nella loro posizione e si chiudono con semplicità. La velocità di preparazione degli MGContainer tradotta in termini di vantaggi è di sicuro interesse per tutti quei negozi che si ritrovano nei giorni di maggior affluenza rallentati nel servizio di vendita dei pesci, danneggiando notevolmente l’intera attività commerciale. I pesci una volta alloggiati negli MGContainer rimangono al sicuro per ore.  All’interno di un negozio d’acquari dove la temperatura è pressoché uguale a quella dell’acqua introdotta negli MGContainer i pesci possono rimanere in salute per molte ore*, questo si traduce in una possibilità per l’acquariofilo di effettuare ulteriori acquisti senza fretta e in tutta tranquillità.

The closure of the MGContainer during short trips (from the shop to the house for example) is guaranteed by small thicknesses of polystyrene between the lid and the cylindrical base. However, for a more delicate transport or a longer journey it may be necessary to have a more secure seal. In this case, use a high quality packing tape and while placing light pressure on the top of the lid with one hand, with the other hand wrap the tape around, carefully centering it over the closure of the MGContainer. It is important that the packing tape is at least 5cm wide, and that it is good quality so that its adhesive seals the containers perfectly.  If you are not sure of the quality of your packing tape test its sealing power by filling the MGContainer with ordinary tap water up to the maximum limit mark (marked internally by a small line) and sealing it carefully with the tape. Then, place it upside down in a sink, and leave it there overnight.

• - Check that there is no leakage around the tape
• - If the packing tape is good quality a film of polystyrene will come away with it when taking it off.
• - Once you have tested the packing tape that you have at disposition and are happy with the results, it may be used to seal the MGContainers.

Before printing your business’s logo on the tape it is a good idea to get a sample of the tape and test it with the containers to be sure you’re making the right choice.The caulking of the MGContainer is excellent quality. The MGC204 model is composed of a high density, water-repellent polystyrene 16mm thick, guaranteeing the stability of its internal temperature for many hours, even when there is an elevated difference in external temperature. Even so, when there is the need to transport fish for many hours, in places that are extremely cold or extremely hot, it is useful to take advantage of the MGContainer’s ability to nest one inside the other to provide extra insulation.  The MGContainer’s nesting system can also be used simply to provide extra protection against damage during transport.

La chiusura degli MGContainer è garantita per brevi tragitti (negozio-casa) da dei piccoli spessori di polistirolo tra il coperchio e la base cilindrica, tuttavia ci può essere l’esigenza di una maggiore sigillatura nei viaggi più delicati o più o meno lunghi. Usate del nastro da pacchi di ottima qualità e mentre fate una leggera pressione con una mano sull’apposita sezione piana superiore del coperchio, con l’altra fate girare in tondo il nastro con cura, facendo bilanciare le distanze del nastro dalla linea di chiusura dell’ MGContainer. E’ importante che il nastro sia largo almeno 5cm e di buona qualità affinché la colla adesiva sigilli perfettamente gli MGContainer. Se non siete sicuri della qualità del vostro nastro fate una prova sigillatura senza pesci in questo modo: mettete della semplice acqua del rubinetto nel contenitore fino al segno del limite max acqua (è un gradino all’interno dell’contenitore in prossimità dei marchi siti all’esterno), nastrate con cura tutt’intorno allo stesso contenitore e capovolgetelo sopra ad un lavabo, lasciandolo capovolto fino al giorno dopo.

With the MGContainer, the acclimatization of tank fish is done very professionally.  The MGContainer can be used to gradually introduce the water from the destination tank to the purchased fish. In this way the fish are acclimatized to their new tank without having to put the water used in transportation* (from the place of purchase) into the destination aquarium, as it could carry pathogenic agents or polluting elements.

• 1. If the MGContainer is full to the maximum level empty it by one lidful, throwing away that water.
• 2. Gradually repeat this process, replacing the thrown away water with water from the destination tank, using the MGC lid as a scoop.
• 3. After having transferred all of the water, leave the fish for 15-20 minutes, then take them out of the container and place them in their new habitat.
• 4. Throw away the water used for the acclimatization.
• 5. Thoroughly rinse out the MGC if it is going to be reused.
• 6. During the acclimatization period keep the MGC closed securely to prevent the fish from jumping out.

If you are unsure of the quality of the water of origin and want to completely sterilize the container after having taken out the fish you can:

• A.) Leave the container to completely air dry in the sun.
• B.) Immerse the container in fresh water if the fish were originally salt-water fish (use salt-water if the fish were fresh water). This procedure kills potential viruses by creating an imbalance in the water’s Ph.**
• C.) Wash the container out with water and chlorine (bleach).

*It is useful to check the quality of the water of provenance of the purchased fish by doing the three fundamental water tests (NH3-NO2-NO3) to see the conditions in which the fish were kept.

**The changing of Ph levels is an effective way to kill viruses that are resistant to every kind of medicine. And it is important to know that viruses exist that are impervious to extreme cold and even freezing.

L’Acclimatazione dei pesci d’acquario con gli MGContainer avviene in modo professionale, si può usare un MGContainer come contenitore nel quale inserire gradualmente l’acqua dell’acquario di destinazione dei pesci acquistati, in questa maniera si riesce ad acclimatare i pesci per la nuova destinazione senza introdurre l’acqua del trasporto* che può essere carica di agenti patogeni o elementi inquinanti.
