The closure of the MGContainer during short trips (from the shop to the house for example) is guaranteed by small thicknesses of polystyrene between the lid and the cylindrical base. However, for a more delicate transport or a longer journey it may be necessary to have a more secure seal. In this case, use a high quality packing tape and while placing light pressure on the top of the lid with one hand, with the other hand wrap the tape around, carefully centering it over the closure of the MGContainer. It is important that the packing tape is at least 5cm wide, and that it is good quality so that its adhesive seals the containers perfectly.  If you are not sure of the quality of your packing tape test its sealing power by filling the MGContainer with ordinary tap water up to the maximum limit mark (marked internally by a small line) and sealing it carefully with the tape. Then, place it upside down in a sink, and leave it there overnight.

• - Check that there is no leakage around the tape
• - If the packing tape is good quality a film of polystyrene will come away with it when taking it off.
• - Once you have tested the packing tape that you have at disposition and are happy with the results, it may be used to seal the MGContainers.

Before printing your business’s logo on the tape it is a good idea to get a sample of the tape and test it with the containers to be sure you’re making the right choice.The caulking of the MGContainer is excellent quality. The MGC204 model is composed of a high density, water-repellent polystyrene 16mm thick, guaranteeing the stability of its internal temperature for many hours, even when there is an elevated difference in external temperature. Even so, when there is the need to transport fish for many hours, in places that are extremely cold or extremely hot, it is useful to take advantage of the MGContainer’s ability to nest one inside the other to provide extra insulation.  The MGContainer’s nesting system can also be used simply to provide extra protection against damage during transport.

La chiusura degli MGContainer è garantita per brevi tragitti (negozio-casa) da dei piccoli spessori di polistirolo tra il coperchio e la base cilindrica, tuttavia ci può essere l’esigenza di una maggiore sigillatura nei viaggi più delicati o più o meno lunghi. Usate del nastro da pacchi di ottima qualità e mentre fate una leggera pressione con una mano sull’apposita sezione piana superiore del coperchio, con l’altra fate girare in tondo il nastro con cura, facendo bilanciare le distanze del nastro dalla linea di chiusura dell’ MGContainer. E’ importante che il nastro sia largo almeno 5cm e di buona qualità affinché la colla adesiva sigilli perfettamente gli MGContainer. Se non siete sicuri della qualità del vostro nastro fate una prova sigillatura senza pesci in questo modo: mettete della semplice acqua del rubinetto nel contenitore fino al segno del limite max acqua (è un gradino all’interno dell’contenitore in prossimità dei marchi siti all’esterno), nastrate con cura tutt’intorno allo stesso contenitore e capovolgetelo sopra ad un lavabo, lasciandolo capovolto fino al giorno dopo.
